Underwater motors have become a core component of underwater

Many divers are aware of underwater thrusters, which offer a new form of recreation, greatly increasing the range and speed of people in the water and increasing the recreational aspect of underwater activities. In addition to this, underwater thrusters can also be used as underwater propulsion devices for industrial applications such as underwater search and rescue, underwater surveys and military applications such as frogman transport and special operations.

The core component of the underwater thruster is its power system, the underwater special propulsion motor, which is a highly technically advanced electric propulsion device that includes fluid design, motor design and material selection. Underwater thruster motors have a novel and unique structure with unique and superior characteristics that make them ideal for use as propulsion systems for underwater robots.

Most of the underwater propulsion motors use brushless DC motors (a type of synchronous motor), which are new mechatronic motors combining motor technology and electronics. The main characteristics of brushless DC motors are that they have similar mechanical characteristics to ordinary brush DC motors and that they must have an electronic commutation circuit. The brushless DC motor completely eliminates the mechanical commutator and brushes, which results in a great improvement in reliability and electromagnetic compatibility, while the brushless motor has the same linear mechanical characteristics as the traditional DC motor, with the advantages of wide speed range, high starting torque and high efficiency.

Motors are a fundamental and key component in the marine sector, and the vast majority of underwater equipment is powered by Wanda motors. Wanda motors can be used not only in deep-sea equipment, but also in shallow-sea equipment and surface equipment, such as ship propulsion, underwater propulsion, and are a typical dual-use technology, so the market is very broad.

DD develops and produces and sells underwater brushless motors, which are well liked by our customers.
